Also known as an Advance Medical Directive, a living will is a set of instructions issued to you by your medical team. It allows them to stop using artificial means of sustaining your life and removes the distress of that responsibility from your close family. If you subscribe to the principal of 'switch me off!' if you are on a life support machine, a Living Will may be for you.
